Our beginners classes are designed specifically for adults with little or no previous dance experience. Every lesson is taught in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where you can learn at your own pace, build confidence and enjoy meeting like-minded people.

All classes are taught by Peter Bailey, Principal of DanceTech, who has over 30 years of teaching experience, is an IDTA Fellow, and also serves as an IDTA Examiner. His patient, encouraging teaching style has helped hundreds of people discover the enjoyment of Ballroom and Latin dancing.

You’ll learn in a supportive environment where the emphasis is on enjoyment, confidence and steady progress. Whether your ambition is simply to have fun, dance on holiday, enjoy weddings with confidence or develop your dancing further, you’ll receive expert tuition every step of the way.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need previous dance experience?

No. Our beginners classes are specifically designed for complete beginners.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing and shoes are perfect for your first lesson. Dance shoes can always come later if you decide you’d like them.

How do I pay?

Our classes are pay as you go, so you only pay for the lessons you attend.

Am I too old to start dancing?

Not at all. Adults of all ages enjoy learning Ballroom and Latin dancing. Many of our pupils started later in life and wish they had begun sooner.
