At DanceTech you can learn many of the dances you recognise from the programme, including the Waltz, Cha Cha Cha, Quickstep, Rumba, Jive, Foxtrot, Tango and Samba, together with Sequence dancing and other popular dances.

Our classes are designed to make learning enjoyable. You don’t need to worry if you’ve never danced before – our beginner classes start right from the basics and allow you to develop your dancing progressively.

For dancers with previous experience, we also offer Improvers, Intermediate and Advanced classes, providing opportunities to continue developing technique, musicality, confidence and knowledge.

Designed especially for complete beginners, the class is a friendly and enjoyable introduction to Ballroom and Latin dancing. No previous dance experience is necessary – we’ll teach you everything you need to know from the very beginning.

Adult Ballroom & Latin Dance Classes

Our adult Ballroom and Latin dance classes in Bollington near Macclesfield cater for a wide range of abilities, from complete beginners through to experienced dancers.

Learning to dance is about much more than learning steps. Our classes provide an enjoyable and social environment where you can develop your dancing, improve your confidence and meet other people who enjoy dancing too.

Our Children’s & Teenagers’ Street Dance & Freestyle Classes are held every Friday after school in Bollington, Macclesfield, Cheshire.

Fun, energetic and welcoming, our Street Dance and Freestyle classes give children and teenagers the opportunity to learn new dance skills, build confidence, improve coordination and musicality, and make new friends.

Classes are suitable for different ages and abilities, from children taking their first steps into dancing through to more experienced dancers looking to continue developing their technique and performance skills.

Professional Dance Tuition You Can Trust

DanceTech Ballroom Academy provides professional dance tuition backed by extensive teaching experience and internationally recognised qualifications.

The academy is led by Peter Bailey, an experienced dance teacher with more than 30 years’ experience and a Fellow and Examiner of the International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA).

Peter is also an experienced dance competition adjudicator and adjudicates at competitions, IDTA Medalist Qualifiers and Finals.

Our teaching team brings together professional qualifications and extensive experience across Ballroom, Latin American, Freestyle, Street Dance and other dance genres.

More Than Just Dance Classes

At DanceTech, dancing doesn’t have to finish when the lesson ends.

We organise a variety of social dancing opportunities and events throughout the year, giving our dancers the opportunity to practise what they have learnt, meet other dancers and enjoy dancing in a relaxed social environment.

These include our regular social dances and practice nights, together with additional special events throughout the year.

Previous events have included group visits to dance at the famous Tower Ballroom in Blackpool, private events at the Tower Ballroom and dances at Stockport Town Hall Ballroom.
