Professional Ballroom & Latin Dance Tuition

DanceTech Ballroom Academy is led by Principal Peter Bailey, who has more than 30 years’ experience teaching Ballroom, Latin and Sequence dancing.

Fellow and Examiner with the International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA) and also adjudicates at dance competitions, IDTA Medallist Qualifiers and Finals.

His extensive experience allows dancers to receive professional technical tuition while classes remain friendly, accessible and enjoyable.

The International Dance Teachers’ Association is one of the world’s major professional dance teaching and examination organisations.

Social Dancing and Events

Learning to dance isn’t only about attending classes.

Throughout the year, DanceTech dancers also have opportunities to enjoy their dancing socially.

Our dancers regularly take part in social dances, practice nights and other events, providing an opportunity to use what you have learned in class and enjoy dancing in a relaxed social setting.

Previous DanceTech events have included visits to the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom, private events at the Tower Ballroom and dances at Stockport Town Hall Ballroom, together with charity and community dance events.

Private / One-to-One Lessons

Intermediate dancers who would like additional help can also book Private / One-to-One Ballroom and Latin lessons.
