Peter is an IDTA Fellow with over 30 years of teaching experience and is also an IDTA Examiner. Throughout his career he has helped hundreds of adults learn to dance, from complete beginners to successful competitors and qualified dance teachers.
His friendly, patient teaching style has helped many people discover a lifelong love of Ballroom and Latin dancing. Would you like to learn Ballroom and Latin dancing? Our Adult Beginners Ballroom & Latin Dance Class is held every Friday at 7.30pm at Bollington Civic Hall, above the library, near Macclesfield, Cheshire
Designed especially for complete beginners, the class is a friendly and enjoyable introduction to Ballroom and Latin dancing. No previous dance experience is necessary — we’ll teach you everything you need to know from the very beginning.
New beginners are welcome to join, and classes are pay as you go, with no course fees or long-term commitment.

Adult Intermediate Ballroom & Latin Dance Classes
Our Adult Intermediate Dance Classes are designed for dancers who are confident with the basics and are ready to take their dancing to the next level.
Develop your technique, styling, confidence and understanding of each dance while learning more advanced figures and combinations in Ballroom, Latin American, Modern Sequence and Classical Sequence dances.
Classes are taught in a friendly, relaxed and enjoyable environment, with an emphasis on continued progression and developing your dancing ability.
Rumba
A rhythmic dance with Spanish and African elements, originating in Cuba.
Jive
A lively dance popular especially in the 1940s & 50s, performed to swing music or rock and roll.
Quickstep
A Ballroom dance in 4/4 time, Its origins are a combination of foxtrot combined with the Charleston.
Cha Cha Cha
A dance of Cuban origin it was developed from the danzón by a syncopation of the fourth beat.
Paso Doble
A dance from Spain, developed in France, depicting a bull fight.
Tango
A Ballroom dance in 2/4 time orginating from South America, danced with a sharp staccato action
Samba
A dance with its origins in Brazil at the beginning of the 20th century. Many steps can be traced back to the Maxixe danced in the 1910s
Waltz
A smooth progressive dance in 3/4 time, characterised by rise & fall
Foxtrot
A smooth, progressive dance characterized by long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor.
