DanceTech Ballroom Academy is led by Peter Bailey, one of the UK’s most highly qualified Ballroom and Latin dance professionals.
With over 30 years of teaching experience, Peter holds seven prestigious IDTA Fellowships in different genres and is an IDTA Examiner. In recognition of his expertise and contribution to the dance profession, he was appointed to the IDTA Board of Examiners in 2022.
Peter is also a competition adjudicator, regularly judging Ballroom and Latin dance competitions, including IDTA Medallist Qualifiers and IDTA Medallist Finals. His appointment as an adjudicator reflects the respect he has earned within the dance profession and his extensive knowledge of technique, performance and competitive standards.
Throughout his professional career, Peter has achieved the unique distinction of winning all four of the IDTA’s major professional awards.

Luella is an experienced and highly respected member of the DanceTech teaching team, leading our Children’s Ballroom & Latin, Freestyle and Street Dance classes
She holds the IDTA Fellowship in Freestyle Dance and also holds IDTA teaching qualifications in Ballroom, Latin American and other dance genres, giving her a broad knowledge and understanding across multiple styles of dance.
Throughout her career, Luella has coached numerous successful competition dancers and is passionate about helping children and teenagers develop confidence, discipline and a genuine love of dance.
In addition to teaching, Luella is also an ADFP Competition Adjudicator, regularly judging ADFP Freestyle Dance competitions. Her appointment as an adjudicator reflects her knowledge, experience and respected standing within the Freestyle dance community.
Her fun, energetic and encouraging teaching style helps every pupil enjoy learning while achieving their full potential.


Jodie is a valued member of the DanceTech teaching team and plays an important role in creating the warm, friendly atmosphere that our pupils enjoy.
She assists with classes, helping dancers of all ages build confidence, improve their technique and enjoy every step of their dance journey. Her patient, supportive and encouraging approach makes her especially popular with beginners and younger dancers alike.
Jodie is currently training for her IDTA Associate qualification in Ballroom, demonstrating her commitment to continuing her professional development and maintaining the high standards of teaching that DanceTech is known for.
Working alongside Peter and Luella, Jodie is part of a dedicated team committed to providing professional, enjoyable and inspiring dance tuition for every pupil, regardless of age or experience.
